Climate:
The trophy-hunting season in South Africa is all year round, but the recommended hunting period is from March till October. Moderate temperatures prevail with mornings (40 degrees F) warming up to 75 or 80 degrees F, with cool evenings. Little or no chance of rain.

Clothing:
We recommend three changes of lightweight outfits for hunting. Drabolive green or natural bush colours. Camouflage clothing is permitted. A warm jacket for the cool mornings and evenings. Comfortable hunting shoes and a wide brimmed hat for sun protection. a daily laundry service is provided.

Firearms:
Firearms and ammunition may be brought in on a temporary import permit obtainable on entry to South Africa. Minimum caliber for dangerous game - 375 H&H or bigger. Plains game hunt - choice of caliber but not smaller than 270. A camera to capture Africa on Film is a must.

Booking Arrangements:
Minimum duration of Safari is 7 days for antelope species. A booking will be considered binding upon receipt of 50% of the daily rate for the number of days of the Safari. all deposits less 20% will be refunded if a safari is cancelled with at least 3 months prior notification of such cancellation.

Passports:
A valid passport is required to enter South Africa. Although every precaution will be taken to ensure your safety and good health during the Safari, it is recommended that you provide for your own travel insurance, covering personal accident, medical expenses and baggage. amanita Safaris or its agents do not accept any liability for injury, damage or loss of property.

Transport
You are met and transported from Oliver Thambo International Airport in Johannesburg to the hunting camp. A fully equipped hunting vehicle will be used during the hunt. Charter flights are available at additional costs.
